Daimian discovered Ceramics whilst at Bembridge School on the Isle of Wight. He took quite a liking to the subject so during the holidays he was taken under the wing of a famous ‘old school’ local potter John Solly in Peasmarsh, East Sussex. He continued Ceramics at Sutton Valence School and then at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, where he studied under Peter Beard and Mike Goddard. He spent years supplying Galleries and The National Trust shops before becoming entranced by Horticulture. He took his passions to Devon for a few years where he had a working Pottery in Bideford in the towns famous Victorian Pannier Market. After surviving emergency Heart Surgery for an Aortic Aneurysm, followed by a Stroke at the age of 42, he has returned to East Sussex and is currently residing in Rye. He has focused his rehabilitation on his work where he has fused his love of Plants and Ceramics and now produces amazing hand thrown pieces that are finished in a wide spectrum of coloured crystal glazes, glass and lustres.
Daimian is currently Artist in Residence at Ashford School.
